      Hi wooton,

Nothing will ever be able to build a human as we are far too complex, but as for human like robots, such as Mr Data in Star Trek, I think that is a distinct possibility. I don’t think we’ll ever be able to code the reponses for a robot to have emotions, but I think they will operate, walk, talk and act as humans can, with independant thought.

We will also develop increasingly more advanced replacement limbs, use robotics to allow people who have lost a limb through injury to operate a robotic arm that is very human like.

      Hi wooton,

I agree with wooton – we’ll never be able to build a human from scratch, we are far too complex. We have to develop from embryos, growing inside a mother’s womb.

However, many of the developments in robotics are quite amazing. We are increasingly being able to build robots to perform more and more complex tasks.

      Hey wooton,

I cant see that ever happening. Humans are a natural creation and a robot would never be able to build us from scratch. I think the closest thing you would get to would be cloning, or a ‘test tube baby’ that was kept in a lab instead of a human womb. But, i think ethics would prevent this from ever happening.
