• Question: do you think aliens are real?

      hi molly,

      very interesting question … i’m not really sure what my answer is though … on one hand i think that the universe is so big that there must be something out there but on the other hand i think that if there is something else out there why has’nt there been any contact … we’re always hearing stories of sightings of ufo’s but if they have been here why haven’t they stopped for a wee chat???

      Definitely! There must be other forms of intelligent life out there, they are probably searching for us in the same ways we are searching for them and wondering if there is anyone out there. I think it will be many years before we find each other though, but hopefully we will!

      I’m not so sure. There’ll definitely be life out there, single celled organisms and things. But whether there’s life intelligent enough to build spaceships and come and find us, I’m not so sure. It took us 4.5 billion years to evolve, and in the space of a few thousand years, while we’ve developed the technology to go into space, we’ve also come pretty close to annihilating ourselves in a nuclear war.

      Yup i do think they are real. I don’t mean like full on advance aliens that fly spaceships and invade earth. ‘Alien’ simply means a foreign bodies so this includes small things like bacteria and single celled organisms.
