• Question: have you ever seen a polor bear

      Hi lena,

      Apart from on TV shows like Frozen Planet, I have never seen a polar bear in the wild. I did see Mercedes the polar bear at the Highland Wildlife Park, near Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands!

      Ive never seen a wild polar bear, but would love to! Im not very keen on Zoos either so I would need a trip to the Arctic I think!

      Ive have seen one in a zoo, and on tv but not in real life unfortunately! They are pretty cool though.

      Hi lena,
      Not except on TV. Not even in a zoo. A friend of mine did some research in Greenland a couple of years ago, and they had to have rifle training and carry a gun everywhere they went so they could defend themselves if a polar bear attacked them. I’ve seen photos of the damage they can do, and it’s pretty scary!!
