      Hi megaehb,

I hope to achieve my main goals of completing my PhD and getting a research job in science in about the next 12 to 15 months. These goals are so big in my life at the moment that it is really hard to see beyond them! My life goals include having a family and having a sucessful career, so they will take about 10 years or longer to achieve, but I’m willing to wait and just take my opportunities when they come along!

      hi magaehb,

workwise i think i probably achieved my goals quite a while ago … firstly when i completed my 4 year engineering apprenticeship which included the theory part (with all the exams) as well as the practical work … then getting my degree and my current job was another goal i achieved … obviously i would like to be promoted in the job i now do, but to be honest it’s not uppermost in my thoughts as i believe i have a perfect work/life balance at the moment and wouldn’t want to change that … i love the job i have but it also gives me plenty family time which is much more important to me than furthering my career

“if it’s not broke then why try fix it” … is a phrase i’ve always liked

my real goal is to be happy and healthy and to see my family and kids grow up happy and healthy too … which is a goal i will be aiming for for the rest of my life
