• Question: is there any way you can see a atom?

      Hi jigsawpuzzle,

      Technically, you can’t see an atom or anything smaller, because it is smaller than the wavelength of light, so light surronds it and blocks it, even if you had a really powerful microscope.

      But, we can visualise atoms and smaller particles, using detectors which create an image on a computer screen, which alls us to see an image of an atom.
