      Hi sharpie,

There are lots of reasons for colour blindness to be caused, I think a main one is to do with the cells in your eyes. The retina processes the light coming through the eye and makes an image in shape and colour and have special cells called Rod and Cone cells. The Rods process colour and if these are damaged or haven’t developed properly you may not be able to see certain colours.

I’m sure there are plenty of other reasons, maybe th others have some!

      Hey sharpie,

i dont know if there is anything we do that causes color blindness, we are either born with it or without. As James said it is to do with tiny cells in your eyes and different things that happens to them. I dont really know the details of it sorry!
