      Hey sleyden,

Wow, there have been so many questions (250 plus!) in the last week, I’m not sure I can tell you! Some wonderful ones on the Big Bang, others asking about my work, the questions about religion and science have been challenging as have the questions asking us what our future plans are.

I just can’t pick one out, they are all AMAZING!

      Hi sleyden,
We’ve had sooo many questions, it’s hard to keep tabs. Obviously, I like answering questions about volcanoes and earthquakes, because I know most about them. But I also like the questions about what it really means to be a scientist. I think that often in schools you don’t get a good idea of what being a scientist really is. At school, you are stuck in a classroom memorising facts and equations to be able to pass exams, and it can be quite boring.

If you actually become a scientist, life can be much more exciting. That’s one of the reasons I do I’m A Scientist, to be able to talk to schoolkids and encourage them to think about a career in science, because it’ll be nothing like the science you have to do in the classroom at the moment.

      Hi sleyden,

Been asked so many great questions including “what is the best question i’ve been asked so far” which i’m really having to think about as there have been so many. Probably have to say the questions about my work and the work i do have been good but have also enjoyed the more personal ones like my favourite football team, or TV show or favourite band/singer. As I said so so many to choose from … but i have really enjoyed the whole “I’m a scientist” experience.
