      Hi megansaurus,

Firstly, take some science subjects at A-level, probably physics and chemistry would be best, and maybe geography as well, and maths if you’re ok or good at it. The next thing would be to apply at a university to do a geology degree. Most of the bigger universities will offer a geology course (it might be called Earth Sciences, or Earth Systems or something instead).

Geology is the study of the earth, which includes the study of volcanoes but lots of other things as well. Once you have got your degree, you can look for PhD courses at universities, where you can qualify as a proper, specialised volcanologist. Good luck!
