Hi sarahsowter and adele,
Yes, I do. Working with other people can often give you a different perspective to a problem you’re working on. Science is a usually a very collaborative process, you don’t just go and work on your own, you work as part of a group that is all working on the same problem
I love working with other people. I think working in a team is a great way to do science. It is more supportive for you – it can get very boring when you work by yourself! It also acts as a melting pot for new ideas, so you definitely come up with interesting new ideas and ways to solve problems when you bounce ideas off one another!
I love working with different people! scientists, non-scientists, people from all over the Uk and the world. Its great working on a project as a team. Each person brings different knowledge and skills to a project and everyone has their own skills and strengths that they bring to a project to make it work.
Ive learnt alot from the people that I work with, by listening to their ideas and stories!
Science is like a big community, and I have friends who I meet up with at conferences, so we meet up in Austria, or San Francisco or Virginia or wherever we happen to be. Whenever we are there we have meals together and catch up. I also work directly with other scientists from all over the world so at present I have friends on all 7 Continents (including Antarctica) and from a massive number of nations.
