      Hi jellytotayers,

I’m not religious, but it isn’t an issue for my friends who are and it doesn’t affect their research, and their research doesn’t affect their faith. I think that science is a wonderfully accepting profession, so if you are religious and in science, people are accepting of that, you’ll still get the respect you deserve.

      Hey Jellytotayers,

This is a pretty good question, and we speak about it quite a lot actually. I am religious. I was brought up Catholic and I still believe and practice this religion but it doesn’t get in the way of me research. I think you can definitely be both religious and scientific. For example I believe in the Big Bang, and don’t believe in Creationism. There are some things i believe in which may not up supported by the scientific community but i am OK with that and i think its good that everyone doesn’t believe in the same thing or the world would be a pretty boring place!
