      Hi karolinaparker and oliwiabieber,

Science has changed the world around us and continues to do so everyday. Some of these changes are for the better, such as communications technology or medical developments. Other scientific developments are probably for the worse, while nuclear power is a wonderful way of creating electricity, the nuclear weapon, which for 50 years had the world on the verge of a war which would kill billions is definitely a negative invention in my view.

As for my science, well I hope my work adds to what we know and understand about the climate system and how it changes due to increased greenhouse gases and that this will help us reduce the impact of climate change on us and the planet.

      hey karolinaparker and oliwiabieber,

The whole point of the science that we carry out is to change something about the earth, or the way we use the earth. My work will help to improve the predictions we make of how the world will be in the future. It we know what the world will be like then we can try and prevent the bad parts (like a warmer climate). We can do this by changing the way people act – trying to make them more green, and/or try and come up with a natural way of stopping global warming.
