      Hi holliemansell,

I was doing well in my A-levels (I got 4 As), so my school said I should apply. You should apply via the UCAS system as for any other university. If you have good grades you should get an interview. The interview was two 30 minute interviews, one where they tested me on what I knew about science, and one where the just chatted and got to know me a bit. If you impress them enough at interview, you get a place. I think about 1/2 the people who get interviews end up getting a place.

If you think you’re going to get some As in your A-levels then it’s definitely worth applying, because it’s one of the leading universities in the world.

Also, don’t be put off by the stories that it’s full of public school posh people. There is the odd one or two, but most people I met there were completely normal, and I have loads of good friends from there.
