  I am actually still at university! My undergraduate was 3 years and then I started studying for my PhD (Doctor of Philosophy). That takes a total of 4 years to complete and i am 3 years in. So in total i have done 6 out of my 7 years at university (God it sounds like forever!).
  
  That is a pretty standard route to take to become a fully fledged scientist although some people do a masters which is an extra year in between undergraduate and starting their PhD. Do you think you will go to university?
