At the moment there are no full scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) sites. There are pilot scale (like a tester sized CCS site). Some of these sites either do the capture part of the process or the storage part of the process or in some cases both. There are 8 large scale CCS projects currently running. Some examples include, Sleipner (Norway), In Salah (North Africa), Snøvit (Norway). Some of the CCS team at the british geological survey have visited these storage sites. Back in March I visited a site in Poland where they are planning to do a pilot scale injection.
