      Hi homieiscoolinnit,

I must admit (bar it possibly being quite embarassing and disorientating) I don’t know why you shouldn’t wake up a sleepwalker.

I’m not sure that you shouldn’t wake a sleepwalker up (although it must be pretty disorientating if it did happen). In fact, you probably should wake them up, in case the sleepwalker falls down the stairs or walks out a window or something, because they could hurt themselves.

In fact, some people who are really bad sleepwalkers sometimes strap themselves to the bed to stop them hurting themselves. My mum used to have really bad sleepwalking issues when she was younger. Apparently when she was younger she was staying at her uncle’s, went sleepwalking and fell into his swimming pool in the middle of the night. That could be pretty dangerous!!

I was always told not to wake up a sleepwalker as you can give them a heart attack but honestly i have no idea whether there is any scientific backing to that or even where i heard it!
